ENCEE WOODWORKS respects the privacy of people who visit our website, contact us, or submit a project inquiry. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect through the ENCEE WOODWORKS website, why we use it, how it is handled, and how to contact us about it.
1. Information we may collect
When you submit a project inquiry or contact ENCEE, we may collect information such as:
- your name;
- email address and, when you choose to provide it, a phone number;
- preferred contact method;
- project municipality or community;
- project type, stage, desired timing and project description;
- investment-readiness context you choose to provide for ENCEE’s cabinetry or millwork scope;
- decision-making and professional-team context relevant to the project;
- how you heard about ENCEE;
- optional notes, links, photos, plans, drawings or other project files that you choose to submit;
- technical information generated when you use the website or form, such as information needed by the website platform to operate, secure and process the request.
Please do not upload financial records, identity documents, payment-card information, banking information or unrelated sensitive documents through the project inquiry form.
2. Why we collect and use this information
We use Website inquiry information to:
- receive and review your inquiry;
- understand the basic service, location, scope, timing and process context of the project;
- decide what human follow-up or next step may be appropriate;
- communicate with you about the inquiry;
- maintain a reliable source record of Website inquiries;
- prevent spam, misuse and technical submission problems;
- support reasonable business administration, quality control and Website performance analysis where implemented and permitted.
Submitting an inquiry does not mean that a project has been accepted, qualified, scheduled, priced or booked.
3. Marketing is separate
Submitting a Start a Project inquiry does not subscribe you to ENCEE marketing.
If ENCEE later offers a separate marketing or newsletter subscription, that choice must be presented separately from the project inquiry process.
4. Service providers and destinations
Website inquiry information may be processed or stored using service providers that support the Website and inquiry workflow. Current Website v1 providers and destinations include:
- Squarespace — website hosting, form presentation and form processing;
- Google — ENCEE business email and Google Drive storage used for inquiry notification and the governed Website source-evidence record;
- Google reCAPTCHA — spam and abuse protection where used by the form/upload workflow.
ENCEE remains responsible for personal information under its control even when service providers process information on its behalf.
5. Who can access inquiry information
Access is limited to people who need the information for an approved ENCEE business purpose.
For Website v1, Nicholas remains accountable for privacy, retention exceptions and consequential deletion decisions. Access to ENCEE business email, Website intake data, Google Drive intake records and any later canonical Opportunity/project records is restricted to the applicable authorized ENCEE owner or administrator.
ENCEE does not make Website inquiry records publicly available and does not authorize broad specialist access to real customer submissions for routine Website work or testing.
6. Retention
ENCEE keeps personal information only as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it is held.
Different records may be retained for different periods depending on whether they are temporary submission copies, inquiry records, project or Opportunity records, supporting files, business evidence, or records required for legal, contractual, warranty, insurance, tax/accounting, dispute, security or administrative purposes.
Temporary or duplicate inquiry copies are removed when they are no longer required under ENCEE’s governed retention process. If an inquiry progresses, information or files that need to be kept may be transferred into the appropriate controlled Opportunity, project or business record rather than retained indefinitely in the original intake location.
Documented legal, contractual, dispute, security or other legitimate holds may require some information to be retained longer. Service-provider backups or technical copies may also persist beyond ENCEE’s direct operational deletion schedule where ENCEE cannot control or verify immediate erasure.
7. Access, correction and deletion requests
You may contact ENCEE to ask about personal information we hold about you, request access to it, or ask that inaccurate information be corrected. You may also ask us to delete information that is no longer required.
Requests will be reviewed in light of the information held, the purpose for which it is retained, applicable legal or contractual requirements, legitimate recordkeeping needs and technical provider limitations. Where applicable law gives you additional rights, ENCEE will handle the request in accordance with those requirements.
To make a privacy request, email info@enceewoodworks.com and include enough information for ENCEE to identify the relevant record without sending unnecessary sensitive information.
8. Consent and changes in purpose
ENCEE uses personal information for the purposes identified when it is collected or for closely related purposes a person would reasonably expect in the circumstances.
If ENCEE proposes a materially new use or disclosure that requires additional consent, that use should not be introduced merely by changing internal systems or Website copy. The applicable notice and consent treatment must be reviewed first.
9. Safeguards
ENCEE uses administrative and technical controls appropriate to the nature of the information and the systems in use. Access is limited to authorized users, and Website testing should use synthetic information rather than real customer records wherever practical.
No Internet transmission or service provider can be represented as absolutely secure. ENCEE therefore does not promise risk-free transmission or storage.
10. Cookies, analytics and technical website data
The ENCEE WOODWORKS website uses Squarespace to operate and deliver the site and its forms. Some cookies or similar technical functions may be necessary for site operation, security, form processing and spam protection.
Non-essential Squarespace cookies are restricted and Squarespace Activity Log is disabled. ENCEE does not use Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, session-replay or heatmap tools, or advertising or remarketing pixels as part of this Website v1 configuration.
Squarespace’s remaining native analytics may provide limited or directional information under the restricted-cookie configuration. ENCEE does not treat those metrics as a complete record of individual visitor behaviour.
The Website v1 configuration does not provide a separate cookie-preference interface because optional or non-essential tracking is restricted or absent under the approved configuration.
Google reCAPTCHA remains part of the form-security path and may process technical information needed to distinguish legitimate submissions from spam or abuse.
If ENCEE later adds analytics, advertising, session-replay or other non-essential tracking that materially changes the privacy treatment, this policy and any required notice or consent mechanism will be reviewed and updated before that change is treated as part of the Website.
11. Changes to this policy
ENCEE may update this Privacy Policy when Website features, service providers, business processes or legal requirements change. The public page should show the date of the current version.
Material changes that introduce new collection, uses or disclosures may require additional notice or consent rather than a silent policy edit.
